I'm using CrossOver Version 22.1 (22.1.0.35672) on My 2023 MacBook Pro with M2 Max and 32GB RAM. It's not installing Steam at all, whatever I try. Installing the fonts and the XML parser beforehand seemed to work, the process continued after those actions. However, whenever I try to install Steam itself, I see the regular install window, but hitting either button (Back, Install or Cancel) does absolutely nothing.
I could change the folder where to install Steam, but still nothing happens when I hit the Install button.
I verified CrossOVer has full Disk Access. Also I verified I did all exceptions to my Avast Antivirus according to this guide, and also closed Avast AV, still does not change anything.
This is bugging me a lot since I'm not even able to install Steam itself, let alone any of the games. The trial is running out soon, and I'm not happy with a CrossOVer purchase unless I get at least the basics running...
My best guess is that something went awry with Avast. I recommend fully uninstalling CrossOver using this guide, temporarily disabling Avast while installing CrossOver, then setting the exceptions after installation.
I'm having the exact same issue. Tried using the removal tool and reinstalling multiple times with no luck. I don't even have any antivirus program installed. Everything was working on the previous update and now I can't launch anything.
