I've been attempting to install Rome: Total War but it requires to switch cd's and when i attempt to do so it does not work. Has anyone had success or know of a tip to do so?

You should take a look in the compatibility database for any software before you attempt an install. I see this game has some discussion about in the forum on how to install:

It also has a silver rating. So, sounds like it works.

There are two ways to eject the Disc...
1- launch a finder window. Click on the "eject arrow" adjacent to the mounted CD in the Left Pannel.
2- Right click on the disk image located on the Desktop, (Or "ctl-click" with a 1-button mouse). It will bring up a panel which contains the option "eject disc". Click on that and the disc will eject.
Most installers simply sit there idling waiting for the 2nd (or more) CDs to be inserted.
In addition to the other's hints, if you put the disk in the drive and the program does not find it, double click on the CD in Linux (don't know if this works for Mac) to mount and open it. Note: method of mounting may vary from system to system, KDE for example can do it with single-click.
