Foobar2000 on Mac via Crossover - Where to store downloaded FB components

I've just installed Foobar2000 on my M1 Macbook Pro using Crossover. I'm new to Foobar, and want to know where I should be storing components for me to add to it. For anyone not familiar with FB, "components" are files that are essentially add-ons that you select to tailor the layout of the program. Just not sure where to store them when downloading them off the web.

Hi Adam,

You should be able to install them through the Foobar GUI. You'll be able to navigate to where you stored them or drag and drop.

Meredith

Thanks Meredith.

I understand that part. I'm just a little confused about the significance of the C Drive locations.

On the one hand, looking at the file path to the C Drive, I can make the assumption that I just need to store it "wherever" there:

For reference, this is the component file I downloaded:

Where I get confused when I start to look at the other folders. Going into the "Program Folders" section, Foobar2000 has a folder for Components. They are .dll files, and I'm not exactly sure whether I should be storing my downloaded components there or not:

What I'm also confused about is how the file structure then points to the filepath of my computer right from the beginning of "User". Is there a difference between me saving files within Finder just in Desktop/Documents/etc as normal and storing them within the filepath of Crossover and Foobar2000, then into Users from there?:

Advice appreciated
