If CrossOver is in your Applications folder. Try entering this in your terminal sudo mv /Applications/CrossOver.app /Volumes/externaldrivename
sudo mv /Applications/CrossOver.app /Volumes/externaldrivename. changed the formatting to be easier

You don't have to install games on internal drive. I use Steam and Epic/Heroic and you can choose your external drive in launcher settings when you install games.
