I have read through the various posts here about poor performance when running some 32-bit games. It seems like CodeWeavers largely blames bugs in Rosetta for the issues. However, it looks like part of Wine 7 is improvements to WoW64 (i.e. the library used to run 32 bit apps in a 64 bit environment). Does this work around the issues with Rosetta? Should we expect to see any better 32-bit performance in CrossOver 22 as a result?
CrossOver 22 will still rely on Rosetta 2 to run the x86 code, so no, it won't help with those issues.
The WoW64 improvements should help with supporting 32-bit on macOS in Winehq.
