Steam "steawebhelper.exe" issues, MacOS 13.5.1

I've seen some previous entries on the forums on previous OS having the same issue but I'm unsure how to resolve this, I have tried opening steam in a variety of ways, different bottles, settings, etc. Always ending up in a menu stating it could not contact webhelper, giving an option to restart with no GPU or another option I can't quite remember at the top of my head, none of these restart steam options work and will just be invisible or force shut itself.

Came to the forum because I just encountered the same problem and no luck troubleshooting, steam was fine a couple days ago. I'm running crossover v. 23.0.1 on MacOS 10.15.7.

I've had the same issue since 23 on Monterey, no problem in 22. Sometimes it helped to restart steawebhelper in the error message box. I tried 23.5 and despite getting the error icon in my Mac's menu bar Steam starts so upgrade to 23.5 if you can. You can at least try the demo.

Thanks for the suggestion. I upgraded to 23.5 and had the same issue with steam in my existing bottles, but after creating another new bottle to install steam into it worked fine. I had to reinstall the games but at least its working now!
