I was just trying out this software and I can get Word, Excel, Publisher to work but Powerpoint freezes as soon as it opens. I tried the plain version, SP1 and SP2 but no luck.

Here's a hack that I get to work. Upload your powerpoint to Google Drive and then edit it there. If you need advanced features you can export out to Libre and then try making changes and then export it is the microsoft XML format. I'm using Ubuntu version 18.
