I tried running Dark Age of Camelot (DAoC) using CrossOver on a MacBook Pro M2 and it works. However, it stutters a lot (it would be extremely difficult to play, to be honest), with graphical settings having no effect on the performance. Things improves slightly when I run DAoC in windowed mode, rather than full screen. Still, to really play the game would be quite challenging.
When in CrossOver, I noticed that there are advanced settings (D3DMetal, DXVK, etc.) to the right side of the app. However, I am not really sure on what these are and don't want to mess stuff up. Right now, only DXVK is selected.
Is there anything you would recommend in terms of setting to improve the performance? I'm happy to play with the vanilla graphic, but the stuttering is really too much (it's not v-sync).
Unfortunately, I don't have suggestions. DXVK and D3DMetal won't have any effect on a DirectX 9 game like Dark Age of Camelot. We are working on performance improvements for DirectX 9 so it's possible this will work better in a future CrossOver release, but many performance issues are actually caused by a Rosetta bug, which we have no control over :/

Good day Meredith! question, are any of those performance improvements included on any of the current nighlies available? And I guess the performance you mention are related to Zeb Figura work or some other?
Correct, I'm talking about Zeb's work, but it's not available in the nightlies yet :)
