Trails in The Sky FC - Mac (M1) crash

So I've been playing The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky FC, purchased from GoG, fine for the last couple of hours, after some initial hiccups that I fixed by disabling the logo and opening videos in the configuration tool. However, I'm now hitting a hard crash every time I try and progress through a certain scene (happens on completion of dialogue after the boss fight in the Prologue Perez Farm mission).

I've tried with DX8 and DX9, and with bottles running both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows, but I'm getting a similar flavour of crash each time. Backtrace of the latest crash is:

Any suggestions more than welcome—I was just getting into the groove of the game, and it would be a shame to have to abandon it a few hours in if this can't be worked around.

Well, I managed to get it working—in the end I was able to get past the crash by disabling Direct Sound in the Configuration options (the vorbis in the backlog seemed to hint it was something audio-related causing the crash).

On doing that, I was able to get past the scene successfully, allowing me to save, re-enable the option and reload.

Hopefully this helps anyone else out that comes across the same issue!
