Agreed on the wild errors, some can be dealt with...
However, after you have copied, there are things you need to do.
Anytime you are having crash issues, Blizzard tells you to do the following:
Rename your Interface and WTF folders to something like Interface.old and WTF.old.
Relaunch WoW. This will cause all of your settings to be restored to default as the game launches. Fair warning - the Launcher seems to have issues in Wine (locks up) so I would suggest using the "Run a Windows Command" from the menu and running WoW.exe instead of the launcher.
Once the game launches, you can uncheck the box to show launcher.
At any rate... Once the game is up, exit and use the Config.wtf that is in the WoW tips and tricks. I had all kinds of issues until I did this. Once the game is up with those settings, you can adjust them to your liking.
There is a repair wow installation option as well - you might want to look at that. I am not sure what program it uses, but since my son is reinstalling his computer right now, and wants to copy wow instead of re-installing, I'm sure I'll get some practice.
Once you have the "baseline" game working, you can copy any addons you use back from the Interface.old folder into the new Interface folder. I would suggest not copying any Addons that start with "Blizzard_" as WoW would have recreated these on its own.
