Hey there, new to crossover. Trying to install Rise of nations. After inputting my serial number I get a missing pigen.dll error. I think this is something used to check the serial. How do I go about fixing this? I'm stumped.

Tyler,
from what I've read it sounds like there are a couple of different ways to solve this issue. If it works, the easiest is probably to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 Redistributable package. If you don't know how to do this, follow these instructions. Inside CrossOver, click once on your Rise of Nations icon. Now, click once on the same icon you just clicked, not the one that comes up to run the game. This opens the CrossOver configuration screen. Now, toward the upper right you'll see a cog wheel. Click once on it, and then click on "Install component" from the drop down menu. From there, near the upper right type in "C++ 6". That should bring up just the Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 Redistributable package. Now click the "Install" button, which will install it into your bottle for the game. Once it's finished installing, at the upper right you'll see a back arrow. Click it once, and then once more, and now fire up your game like normal and see if it works now.
If that doesn't work, then you'll likely need to do a Google search and find pidgen.dll (and probably mfc42.dll too) and download it, and copy it into the Windows "System" directory. If you have to do this step because the above didn't work and you don't know how, just reply here and I can give you more instructions to try this.
