Pixelbook screen resolution/scaling?

Greetings! I've been running CrossOver on my Pixelbook with great success. It has been a vital piece in allowing me to get those 1 or 2 must-have apps that only have a Windows version.

One issue I'm having however has to do with the screen resolution and scaling on the Pixelbook. When I leave things at their default (the Windows app is e-Sword), some of the sections within the application's window are squeezed (probably due to assigning a fixed width rather than being relative to the window/screen).

To mitigate this, I lower the dpi setting within the Windows settings of that container. That helps to display the content in that window section (Bible book/verse picker), but then the UI controls becomes unmanageably small.

Are there any other settings (either within Chrome OS) , CrossOver itself, or for the specific app container that can be used to tweak resolution / scaling?
thanks in advance.

Hey Tom,

You're probably already doing this, but I thought, just in cast not, I'd throw this out there for you. Are you running your app in Desktop mode and then full screen? I've had an app or two that would not work or look properly without my doing that. Hope that helps...

Hi Mark. That is the one thing that I DIDN'T try, so thank you for that suggestion! It seemed to help a bit with that stubborn list element in the app window. I still need to keep the DPI down in order for the text in that list object to nearly be fully displayed, but at least it is showing more. (looks like something gets re-calibrated in the flipping from desktop mode back to window). It's usable now, so that's a step in the right direction.

I think that it would be helpful if CrossOver determined what screen resolution to use based on the Chrome OS scaling setting rather than on the raw hardware resolution. (or at least make it an option).

thanks again!

How does one change the Windows setting for a given container? Sorry, new to crossover, and I see no settings dropdown anywhere inside the Crossover UI, nor the Scrivener window.

Click once on the icon to fire up your app that you installed into CrossOver. Click once on that same icon again. Click on either the drop down and select "Wine Configuration" or click on the cog wheel and choose one of those options.
