CrossOver Support - Community Forums

Hello, after successfully downloading and installing crossover games for mac, i seem to have encountered a problem with Steam. Steam launches perfectly, but when i launch a game, it doesn't launch. I am also a very new steam user (has never gamed using the software EVER), could it be just human stupidity? I have a 13-inch mac-book pro, 2GB of RAM, nVIDIA Geforce 9400M. I also have a LAN party at my school coming up soon, and I haven't used a PC since mid-2009 and have no access to one, that, and all the cool nerds are going. Thanks in advance to that good samaritan out there that can help me out.

and also which game in particular you speak of? Also, which
version of OSX do you have?

I am trying to launch R.U.S.E beta. My version of OSX is 10.6. Thanks for your concern.

Ahh, that title is listed as known not to work with crossover;

...and nobody's having any luck with mainstream wine either;

So it doesn't appear hopeful for this title right now....but I very much doubt it's
a Mac bug -- it's just this game ;)

I have the same problem, but it is not game-specific; its ALL my steam games.
The window opens saying "Preparing to launch (game name)," it disappears, and then the game never loads?

Try to install windows XML and flash 10 with via Crossover. Some games require XML to launch.

Can you please desist with the swearing now - no one here appreciates
it, and it just goes on to makes you look childish...
