I just bought CrossOver and I'm trying to install Diablo IV with no luck. How come there's no tutorials on this? I'm getting a "You need to provide the installer file or disk in order to install 'Diablo IV' using CrossOver" error. The docs just tell me to "find the installer file" but I don't have it...?
I downloaded Battle.net Desktop App fine, but it doesn't seem to be registering my Diablo IV purchase which is another problem. I can see Diablo IV activated on my Battle.net website, on my PS5, but not on my Battle.net Desktop App (CrossOver). It just keeps prompting me to buy the game.
I did not expect this to be so difficult :(
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Preferably some step-by-step guides. Thanks.
I'm using a M1 Max MacBook Pro 14' with macOS Sonoma.
Did you also buy the PC version of the game? Because the PS5 version is treated as a separate game and won't show up in your PC battle.net. This is greedy Blizzards fault though, not Crossovers.
As for the installer you can let crossover install it by pressing the "Edit" button and choose "Let crossover download the install"
You have three options to choose an installer for Diablo IV:
You can download through Steam
You can let CrossOver download the battle.net installer
You can choose your own installer file.
Best,
Meredith
