Spiderweb games have a reputation of working in WINE and or Crossover.
But this is stumping me. When Queens Wish launches the opening Music is VERY static filled and maybe jumpy.
Basically, I hear static and a drum-like beat.
Playability does not seem affected if you turn off "Background noise" which in these games adds lots of flavor with "City sounds" and "birds chirping"
I looked at the files and they are ogg format sound files.
Game installed on default Win10 64bit Bottle(the game I guess is NOT 64 bit due to it being in Program Files (x86) folder
Crossover 19.0.1
Mint Linux 18.3
Kernel 4.15.0-74
What I have tried: Using another bottle, the game actually launched in each bottle this time, but the sound issue remained. (I did not reinstall, I just changed it in the Wine Cofig settings inside the bottle)
When I made the post about how to install, I did not try this machine, I will try the other machine to find out if it may be hardware related and post the results.
EDIT: I tried the game on my laptop and it still had ver1.0 (the game) and it had some minor static. Downloaded the update ver1.0.3 and it played flawless.
The difference between to two other than the obvious hardware is that the laptop runs Mint 19.3 and kernel 5.3.0-28. Does this matter?
I installed Avadon 3 (also in the x86 folder) another game by the same company in a same default win10 Bottle on its own, and the sound worked properly. They are ogg type too.
I made a log file and will share it since it seems long ask me what part you want.
