I've tried installing multiple programs, including Deus Ex (supported), Steam (supported), and Deus Ex 2 (not supported). When I clicked use appropriate existing bottle, it froze. When I tried creating a new bottle, a message appears, "The application wineserver quit unexpectedly", then it apparently freezes.
Any ideas?
Quit entirely out of Crossover Games and maybe even restart your machine, then see if you can make a bottle. The error message makes me think there's a stuck wine process on your machine.
FYI, Deus Ex is unsupported.
I've restarted everything, and wineserver still quits unexpectedly, also causing CrossOver to freeze. Another note, the bottles I've tried creating are listed in the "Manage Bottles" window, with "Initializing" next to them. It will not let me delete them, either. The problem comes when trying to install anything.
That's pretty bad. You may just want to wipe out (your home folder)/Library/Application Support/Crossover Games and try again.
