I need to create a new bottle to emulate Windows XP but the only selection when I try to create a new bottle in Win 98, how do I create a bottle to use XP?
The bottles should only be 'locked' if you've selected a specific supported application first, and are then creating the bottle. If you're just going to your 'manage bottles' screen and using the "+" key to create a new bottle, you should be able to have access to all four bottle types.
If this is persisting, try shutting down/restarting crossover, or possibly re-booting your machine.
