I've installed MS Office 2007 fine, and everything seems to be working fine...but I can't install SP1! When I run the file, it starts...extracts files and attempts to run the Service Pack, but then crashes.
Has anyone been able to install SP1?
I'm also having trouble installing the Windows Search that Outlook uses....same problem as SP1
I had similar problems trying to intall the SP3 service pack into Office 2003.
Even though this is now supposed to be a supported install, I was never able to get it to work.
Office 2007 SP1 is a top priority for us right now. It's not currently supported, but we're very close to getting a successful upgrade with it, at which point a fix will be released.
Windows Search may be fixed by SP1, but we'll have to see.
That's interesting that you weren't able to get SP3 for Office 2k3 to install. Our "recommended" course of action is to mount your original office install disk and then install sp3 into the same bottle as 2k3 via the selection for it in the Install Software menu. If you had problem with that route, it's likely that your specific version of Office was using an installer that Crossover wasn't specifically coded for, in which case we'd ask you to file a support ticket so we can look more closely at the installer in question.

Thanks for the update! It certainly makes me feel more comfortable purchasing the software knowing you are working on the problem rather than just avoiding it altogether.
