I installed CrossOver today and successfully installed Office 2000 so I can open my old Excel and Word documents using their original application. This works great, but I also want my partner to be able to open her old stuff too. How can I do this?
Do I also need to install Office again under her account?
There are many different ways to deal with this. However, if more than one person will be using CrossOver you will need to purchase additional licenses. Questions regarding this may be directed to sales@codeweavers.com.
I have CrossOver Games, but I'm assuming the procedure to handle multiple users is the same, so I decided not to create another thread.
So, assuming I purchase 2 licenses, what is the procedure for configuring CrossOver so that 2 different log-ons can use the same bottle? I tried creating the bottle in the Shared and Public folders, but that didn't seem to work, even with permissions set to full access for everyone.
If you have access to her old files, zip them up and send them to her? It's hard to answer your question because I don't know the details. Is you partner on the same network? Does she have a Mac or Windows PC? Why do you want to open these files in an older interface?
Please Note: This Forum is for non-application specific questions relating to installation/configuration of CrossOver. All application-specific posts to this Forum will be moved to their appropriate Compatibility Center Forum.
