Hey guys,
I was trying to install Photoshop CS6 using CrossOver on my Mac, when I ran into an issue with QuickTime 7. The wizard for QuickTime (a necessary dependency) runs fine and says that QuickTime is installed at the end, but afterwards the install screen on CrossOver gets stuck on "Installing QuickTime 7" and will not progress from there.
After having this issue with my initial copy of Photoshop CS6, I then tried installing QuickTime 7 independently. It has the same issue: it runs the wizard perfectly, then gets stuck on the words "Installing QuickTime 7" in CrossOver. I've tried Windows 7 64 bit and 32 bit bottles, and Windows XP 32 and 64 bit bottles.
Update: I've made progress on this in two mutually exclusive ways. If I create a Windows XP 64 bit bottle, I can install QuickTime by just cancelling the install after the wizard finishes and CrossOver is waiting for the install to finish. If I do this process on a Windows 7 64 bit bottle, QuickTime does not install, but I am able to skip the "Installing QuickTime" section of the Photoshop installer and get to the actual Photoshop wizard. The problem is, the Photoshop wizard is blank, presumably because it is missing the QuickTime prerequisites.
Any help with this would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Thank you!
