I playing Monster Hunter world on CrossOver Mac 23.7.
There is a problem with the operation of the controller, and it is difficult to play satisfactorily.
Does anyone else have similar problems?

Phenomenon
　The right stick does not work.
　When I operate the left stick to the left or right during a battle with a monster, the item column works in tandem and the item to be used changes.

My environment is as follows.

CrossOver Mac Version
　23.7 (23.7.0.36567)
Controller
　Nintendo Switch Pro Controller connected via USB
Mac
　M2 Macbook air
Mac OS version
　Sonoma

my experience even worse, my controller could not be recognized whether it was wire or wireless.

After some investigation, I found that the following settings worked in my environment.

・CrossOver settings
Disable D3DMetal

・Steam settings
Disable Steam input on the controller.

Just in case you haven't, try connecting the controller before launching CrossOver and the game. I have found controllers not to work at all if crossover is already launched.
