Whilst I dont think it is a crossover prob, thought someone might have a idea.
When playing counterstrike, when I am transmitting voie, there is a constant white noise sound in background. makes my VC very annoying for others. Anyone come across this before?
You can try experimenting with different audio drivers (PulseAudio vs. ALSA). You can experiment with recording your voice in a Linux-native version of Audacity (or some other audio capture program). Then, you can try running the Windows version of Audacity under CrossOver, to see how well its capture compares.
It might have to do with the sampling rate (11 kHz, 8kHz, etc.) that the game is using, so its worth experimenting with different sampling rates in Audacity.
