The question is pretty straightforward: How does someone install a few winetricks, available in Winebottler, in a Crossover bottle? Also, I should specify that I'm running OSX, though I'm sure people would appreciate an answer for Linux users as well.
This may or may not work (depending on what you're actually installing). Always check in the
'runtime support components' section of crossover to check there isn't already an equivalent package
available that's builtin to crossover....ie; the winetricks 'vcrun6' target is the same as the
crossover 'microsoft visual c++ 6.0 redistributable' target...
Let's say you make a new bottle in crossover and give it the name NewBottle and you want to install
riched20 into that crossover bottle using winetricks. Assuming the winetricks script is in your $PATH
you would do something like this;
Sorry for being so new to this but when you wrote "Assuming the winetricks script is in your $PATH you would do something like this," what did you mean by the script being in the $PATH? And where would I write what that command?
If you're talking about winetricks on the Mac...it's a real pain at best. I've tried several times and I always wound up backing it out as it caused me more problems than it was worth. What are you trying to do? ie, Are you trying to get a specific app/game to work?
(To complicate matters, there is a /Library/Application Support/CrossOver folder for CrossOver Pro and published bottles. Since published bottles are available to all users on the system, those don't go into any user's home.)

Thanks Ken...(I always get Mac paths wrong, possibly because I don't have a Mac 8)
