On edit: Ooops... I see " This Forum is for non-application specific questions..." but when I went to the Compatibility Center forum it did not seem to address this sort of question.
Installed Trial Version of CrossOver. Then installed Microsoft Office 2003 Standard Edition.
Excel, Word, and PowerPoint all appear to function normally, albeit in their original 2003, non-updated rendition. The Windows 95-like rendering of their respective screens is a bit jarring but no matter, they work well enough to be usable.
The major problem is that Microsoft Office Picture Manager will not open image files. The various file extensions offered at installation were selected. JPG, BMP, GIF, etc.
After opening Picture Manager I can navigate to a folder containing images, select it, and see the icons representing the images in the folder. The properties of the icon appear correct. Size, location, file type, file name are all correct but the actual image is not rendered on the screen.
Ideas? Guidance?
