Hi,
I have updated my Mac to 10.5.8 and now find I cannot launch CrossOver 7.1 anymore. It just crashes on launch. Anyone else experience that?
Thanks!

Hi,

That sounds like the behavior you'd see if you updated your XQuartz to 2.3.3.2. This is a third-party action, though, and not a part of any update that you'd get with 10.5.8. I've got 10.5.8 on my iMac, and I just threw on a clean install of CX 7.1 to test - it started up and created a new bottle without issue (no XQuartz update on my machine).
If your XQuartz has been updated to 2.3.3.2, then I'm afraid Crossover 7.1.0 will crash upon launch. You'll need Crossover 7.1.2 (or 8.0).
I'm certain that OS X 10.5.8 update broke CrossOver to some degree - all versions I tested: CrossOver Pro 7.1 & 8.0 and CrossOver Games 7.1.1, 7.2, and 8.0.
I have one game, Kohan, that is so well written that it ran prefect the first time under CrossOver Pro 7.1 under an earlier version of OS X 10.5, didn't even need CrossOver Games.
In fact this game works prefect under CrossOver Games 8.0 under OS X 10.5.6 and OS X 10.6; however, under OS X 10.5.8 you can't type any text in the game.
And forget the idea that I installed some third-party thing and broke CrossOver Games.
I formated an external disk, installed 10.5.6, ran Cross Games 8.0, installed Kohan, entered CD Key, works prefect, then I installed the OS X 10.5.8 Combo update, and reinstalled Kohan in a new bottle, could not enter the CD Key.
Booted off my internal disk with 10.5.8 and copied the working Kohan bottle to my Library, launched Kohan via CrossOver Games 8.0 and since I had entered the CD Key under 10.5.6 I did not see that issue, but in the game I could not enter any text.
I have not tested OS X 10.5.7 as I can't go backwards and I can't go forwards either since 10.6 broke one of my Mac games (of two I tested).
