FWIW....I just downloaded the demo and tried it in linux. (cxgames 7.2.2)
The demo installer includes directx9c + the physx stuff -- I concluded to not
install the included directx, just the game and physx parts. Installed directx
runtime into bottle using cxinstallwizard -after- installing the game demo. Set
winecfg to use 'emulate a virtual desktop' (windowed mode) -- game starts and runs,
some of the menu fonts are a bit screwy but usable - game runs ok, but with some
graphics issues. Works much better with wine-1.1.26, so at a guess it's going
to work better in cxgames 8.0. Again, this was using linux + nvidia series 8
videocard + latest nvidia drivers (185.18.29)....
