DoD:Source on mac with crossover issue.

OK heres my issue, I have installed steam and just recently purchased Day of Defeat:Source and installed. I used a program called Crossover Games to install steam.i looked up compatability issues online and put in a launch option that would fix the direct x issue, This was what I found

"I tried to run Day of Defeat: Source on my Macbook 2.0Ghz 1 GB Ram, but after the DOD "Loading..." screen, it goes black but I can still move my mouse and hear the "clicking" noise as it moves over the menu options. It may be a driver issue.let me know -Glitch

FIXED IT**

This is a known issue with some graphic card / driver combinations.

A work around you can try is to modify the command line for the Steam game you are trying to run. For example in Half-Life 2, right click on the game in the Steam games list. Then choose properties. Click the 'Set Launch Options' button. In the text field add this to the end:

-dxlevel 70 -width 1024 -height 768 "

i did that and set everything to minimum specs and when i started a server i would get a Grey fuzz until i started to run around then the screen would go black like it stated above. how do i fix this so i can play. and also when i try to search for a match, it just refreshes forever and nothing shows up. aslo window mode doesnt even work, it doesnt go into window mode. any help?

Hi,

My best guess is it's your GMA x3100 (is that right, or is it x1300?) perhaps causing
problems...but then, I don't own this title (nor a Mac ;)...

If you want postings like this to be seen by others/advocates who actually
have the game/might know how to help you, please consider posting questions
like this to the forum of the game/app involved...see;

Cheers!

PS: you should mention the exact OS version you are using - not all snow leopards
are the same...

ok i shall do that thanks! =)
