I'm currently eval-ing Crossover on a couple of items that I'm not quite sure how or what to expect around it working.
I've got an Access db that is wrapped around a VB app that makes calls to the c:/Program Files folder. Once called, it looks for Winzip, Winzip CLI and a proprietary FTP app to perform all the necessary transactions (I know - it's a mess, we are working to replace it). My question is - how does Crossover resolve dependencies for other applications?
Another example is I have a tutorial application that I'd like to run. The software requires Windows Media Player 9 or better - but when I run the install, there's no mention of WMP being installed. So if I install WMP in a different bottle, will the tutorial application auto-launch the WMP in a different bottle when it calls for WMP?
I've been trying these two scenarios and I haven't gotten it to quite work yet. I'm just not sure it's possible.
Thanks,
Brian
