i currently have both pro and games installed, and run windows media player 9 in pro, as well as a couple of old games in games. i don't use any of the "cool" features in games, e.g. installing the steam software package, so...do i really need both?
if i want to ditch games, do i just archive my bottle and then re-add it in pro?
if i decide later to play something like half-life 2, is there a way to install the steam package into pro? i don't see it there by default...

See this thread by one of the staff on the reason for Games:
If you want to ditch games you can archive it and import it into Pro but it may not run as well. You can manually install the independent pieces for Steam if you wanted to try it in Pro. Games already has an installer it for it so it might be easier to do as you indicated, install it in games and then archive/import it into Pro.
Is there a reason not to keep both? ie, It doesn't take much room.

aside from my anal-retentiveness when it comes to organizing my apps, i suppose not! thanks for the link to the other thread.
