hi,
everytime i start a windows app in CrossOver Games, i just get a white screen... it's really annoying. i was about to purchase crossover but now im not so sure anymore because of the white screen... is there a way to fix it?
im using the try-out version of CrossOver games and an iMac with Snow Leopard 10.6
I get the above problem when trying to run Guild Wars which is a supported game. I hear the music and get the cursor which shows clickable areas when I mouse over them but the screen behind is white.
CrossOver Games claims that the game is installed OK but during during installing I got several messages of the type below (sorry about the Swedish - I'll transate if necessary). All I did was click on the suggested installer link in CO G. I do have a valid DVD with Guild Wars in the computer but never got asked about the serial code.
Like Robbie I plan to purchase CO G but of course only if I get it to work.

Are you on Crossover Games 8.1.3 and Guild Wars? If so, its a known issue that they're working on and recommend you run 8.1.2 for now for Guild Wars. You can grab older versions in your "My Downloads" section of the webpage. My Account -> My Downloads.
This error was a bug in Mac OS X we encountered during testing of pre-release versions of Snow Leopard. It should be fixed in any actual release of Snow Leopard. What version of Mac OS X are you running?
As far as I know users who have gotten Borderland to run under Crossover have installed through the Steam client. Are you using the Steam client? Have you checked out the discussions on installing and running Borderlands at the C4 Database page for that app?
FWIW, I just went to try out Half Life (the original one from the Orange Box) using CrossOver 6.2.1, which I bought years ago to play Portal, and I'm getting this same issue. I remember trying out Half Life before and somehow I got it to work. I'm on Leopard, 10.5.8 on a MacBook Pro with ATI x1600. Just curious if there's a workaround. (I had added "-novideo" to the startup options at one point to get it to work, but that no longer seems to help and removing it doesn't help either.) I don't see where there are links to download updates, and I don't know if there even was a 6.x update after 6.2.1.
