By default Word will save into the My Documents folder within your bottle, which should be mapped to your Documents directory on your Mac (open up your Documents directory in Finder for your user account).
If it is not there you can find it by starting Crossover, then going into Configure > Manage Bottles Menu option, then highlight your Word/Office bottle, click on Advanced tab, then hit the Open C drive button. From there you can navigate into "Users" and into the "crossover" user account and find the My Documents directory. If you didn't change the save location it should be located in that directory.
Also, since you are on a Mac, you can use Spotlight to find your document if you still can't find it. Click on the Magnifying glass in the upper-right corner of your screen/menu bar, then start typing the name of the file, or text you know is in the document and it should pop it up in the quick-pick list. You can refine your search by hitting "Show All", which will cause it to open a window with the search results.
Thank you!
Is this true for all Microsoft Office programs?
Perhaps not all, but it should be for the vast majority if not all. My Documents has been the default storage spot for most of them for years, but for some programs, which were not originally developed in-house by MS (such as Visio) your mileage may vary.
