Hi. I have downloaded and installed the CrossOver Games Mac demo. I also downloaded the Longest Journey windows game from GOG (www.gog.com). Now I am trying to figure out how to open the LJ game via the CrossOver Games Mac application.
In the CrossOver Mac application window it says "Use the Finder to open the programs from the
CrossOver Games applications folder, or use the Programs menu." I set up the CO Games applications folder via preferences... and still when I select the game file, basically nothing happens.
Okay, so I guessed and stumbled my way through the CrossOver Games application to the "bottle" things. I got everything running almost. It seems that something crashed while loading the adobe reader in (missing msiexec.exe)... but I have also found my way to the Wiki troubleshooting page(s) for unsupported apps. I will start my trial and error there. Thanks
