Hello,
I have a Snow Leopard 10.6.2 MBP and have been running RAdmin viewer 3.4 in a xp bottle on crossover 8.0.1 with no problem. I decided to try crossover 9.0 before just upgrading and find that it does not work with this version. I have tried the upgrade process and starting with a brand new bottle, and neither work. The below error text is shown.
Connecting to <IP_ADDRESS>
Server version is 3
Connecting to <IP_ADDRESS>
Windows Authentication: Using entered username/password/domain
Cannot initialize Windows authentication support. Verify that you have 'Client for Microsoft Networks' installed from the 'Network' applets in Control panel.
Also, if I downgrade to 8.0.1 and create a new xp bottle, reinstall the software, everything works again.
Any assistance is much appreciated.
Regards,
Brian M.
Apparently this is fixed in wine version <= 1.1.27. Is there a way to tell what version of wine is implemented in 9.0? of course without divulging a trade secret, I understand. Thank you.
EDIT: nevermind, i found it in the changelog 1.1.34, which means it should work, i guess..
I also have precisely the same issue.
It started happening right after my upgrade to crossover 9.
While one can change the way Radmin authenticates to the server, I really hope Codeweavers does release a fix to this since it lessens the security level of Radmin to use the built in radmin authentication.
I will be happy to put in a ticket, although it is disabled for me. I can tell you that it is fixed in Wine according to the following post: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20953. I will buy a license to 9, since I LOVE 8 so much, if I know this will be upgraded/fixed in the near future. Thanks.
I'm a term papers writer and I need my writing jobs to be safe. But someone deletes my work contantly. I suppose that's someone using Radmin on my PC (I have MacBook Pro). I've submitet a few tickets and there was no response. Please contact me: Janice@thankyou2010.com
