When im trying to open Steam or Counter-Strike, CrossOver wont open it. I've created a bottle and then select File>open, and nothing happens. Anyone knows how to fix this?

When im trying to open Steam or Counter-Strike, CrossOver wont open it. I've created a bottle and then select File>open, and nothing happens. Anyone knows how to fix this?
You shouldn't need to use File > Open to launch Steam.
First of all, to be clear, you should be using CrossOver Games 9 to run Steam. Since Steam recently completely changed their GUI, it doesn't work in any earlier version of CrossOver.
Second, you should install Steam using CrossOver's built-in installer smarts. CrossOver can download the Steam installer for you, but if you've already downloaded it (the Windows version, not the Mac version), you can tell CrossOver to use the one you downloaded. If you're not sure you downloaded the right thing, just let CrossOver download it for you.
Once CrossOver has installed Steam, you will be able to launch it from CrossOver's Programs menu or using the Steam launcher mini-application that CrossOver will create for you.
