in my modern warfare 2 game when i reach the level thats called kill shepherd the character lifts up his arm and it then freezes i am still able to access the pause menu and once i exit the pause menu it works for a second any suggestions?

With questions like this, it's usually helpful to describe your system: what kind of Mac? What GPU does it have? What version of Mac OS X are you running?
As for the game issue, try turning down and disabling the game's video/graphics settings.
