Hi Overcrossers,

I have got an interesting discovery.
I tried to install the open source app Bid-O-Matic (www.bid-o-matic.org) on Crossover for Mac.
I did it already with 100% success on Wine for Linux.
In this case almost everything worked, the install, the communication with the browser, the login onto eBay.
The only dramatic hitch is that all values were multiplied by 100! That was also the case for my bids. Upon the next start of the program, my bids were multiplied again by 100, ending up in millions!.

That appears to be an interesting observation: I am running OSX 10.5.2 english, with German locales.

I could not find any setting in my bottle to tweak locales in order to be able to match those of OSX.
Returning to US locales solved the problem, but I do not want to use those settings.

Have you got a clue how to keep the bottles and the Mac on the same locales?
Automatically would have been great, manually would help too.

CrossOver uses both the preferred language and the formatting region (locale) from the Mac OS X settings and translates those into the settings for Windows apps. There are multiple values which get set in the registry based on those settings. Some are specific to formatting dates, numbers, etc.; others are more general, indicating the country or language in use.

However, some Windows programs ignore the formats and only pay attention to the country or language. When you use mismatching language and formats, as you are, those programs do the "wrong" thing.

You can check what Windows apps are seeing for international settings by using "regedit". From CrossOver's Programs menu, select Run Command. In the window that comes up, select a bottle, type "regedit" for the command, and click Run. In the registry editor, navigate to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International]. If you see something that you think is wrong for your Mac settings, please open a support ticket. You can also edit the values there to see if you can eliminate the incorrect behavior that you're seeing in Bid-O-Matic.
