Hi.

With the update to 9.0.0 Outlook 2003's Advanced Find feature (specifically searching categories) no longer functions - the pop-up window opens but nothing is selectable - clicking on secondary tabs does nothing, and text fields cannot be typed in to. In short, it does nothing!

Anyone else have the same or a fix?

Would it be possible to just replace the 9.0.0 app with CrossOver 8 or does the update make the bottle incompatible with previous versions?

You can replace the Crossover 8 app icon with Crossover 9 and it'll upgrade the bottles. I've found that it changes the bottles so they won't work again under Crossover 8, so you'll want to make an archive of the bottles in Crossover 8 before upgrading.

Yes, you can switch back to CrossOver 8. When a bottle was upgraded for CrossOver 9, it was altered in some ways. These alterations may make it so that the bottle will no longer function if you subsequently downgrade back to CrossOver 8, as Andrew said, which is why archiving or otherwise backing up your bottles is wise. However, in my experience, the bottle usually continues to work just fine after the downgrade.
