I'm trying to use some Windows games through Steam. I downloaded a demo of Worms, which as I understand it, should run. (I also tried the RUSE demo which I think is too new). It says "preparing to launch" and then nothing ever happens.
My real interest is to be able to download and play Civilization 5 next week at launch, so I want to be able to run steam games in my pc bottle.
What version of Mac? Crossover? Platform/specs, etc?
What have you done so far?

I just got Civilization V, and am trying to install it with Crossover.
NO LUCK SO FAR.
I am running Crossover 9.1.0, and also tried Crossover Games 9.1.0
Mac OS 10.6.4, Core 2 Duo 2.8GHz, Intel processor, 6GB RAM. Mac Pro tower.
Will this work one day? Or should I just wait and see when it comes out for Mac?

On the #crossover IRC channel last evening, someone did get this to work,
however they were using linux, not Mac, so YMMV...
At any rate, you shouldn't post app specific questions here, instead post
to the Civ5 forum about such things...see;
