Pizza Chef

Any one played successfully Pizza Chef or Pizza Chef 2?
Please share your experience.

Thanks!

Hi,

I just tested the Big Fish Games releases (demo versions) of
these titles and they seem to work fine -- that doesn't speak
to the gamehouse.com releases you cite, but I would likewise
do the same thing -- try their demos of said games ; they should
work by the looks of it...

Cheers!

I just got freeze screens, but I hear the music.

Hi,

Hmmm...okay then, post back the following information so I've
a better Idea of your situation;

Mac model/OSX version/videocard model

Exactly which release of Pizza Chef you're trying

Which version of Crossover you are using

Without these details it's almost impossible to correctly advise
you on what to try next...

Cheers!

Mid 2008 Intel iMac
OS X 10.5.5
ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro
Tried Pizza Chef and Pizza Chef 2 full version
Installed on a new Win XP bottle using Cross Over 9.0.1
I even tried to install the DirectX and QuickTime, still no luck.

Thanks!

Hi,

Okay...almost enough...from which distributor did you
get the full versions? let me know...

Cheers!

Will it make a different?
The 'Pizza Chef 2' is from Big Fish.
Never mind with 'Pizza Chef' as I would only like to play 'Pizza Chef 2'.

Thanks!

Hi again,

Yes, in this case it makes a difference as we have a helper C4 entry...see;

http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=6268

Install that first - it will give you a 'Big Fish Games Manager' bottle.

Next, follow the instructions detailed in the tips&tricks there;

http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=6268;tips=1

If you have any problems, let me know..

Cheers!

After I pressed the 'Load' button on the 6268.c4p, nothing happened, although the 'Will download the installer from' has changed to download the bigfish manager. The dialog box with the 'Load', 'Don't Load' button still not go away.

Can I do it manually? How?

Hi,

I see the problem....(my eyes failed me earlier)...you're using Crossover,
not Crossover Games -- this explains the behavior you're seeing....

Remedy: Download 6268.c4p and then open it in TextEdit

    Near the top of that file, find the tag <cxversion product="cxgames">9.1</cxversion>

    Change that tag to match your crossover version...ie; <cxversion product="cxoffice">9.0</cxversion>

    Save the file and quit TextEdit

Now double-click on 6268.c4p and open it with Crossover -- it should now handle the c4p profile correctly.

Let me know how you get on...there's an even more hands-on way of doing it, but this approach
may be easiest...keep me posted...

Cheers!

ps: I've just submitted both Pizza Chef & Pizza Chef 2 to the C4 database so both these games are
covered for future reference -- I may have this thread moved to the appropriate page once they're
approved, so just a courtesy note/FYI to let you know your thread here may later be found on the
Pizza Chef 2 C4 page forum.

No luck, still freeze, but instead freeze on the first screen, it freeze on the third screen (with 'Click to continue' at the bottom).

Hi again,

Somewhat by coincidence, I'm working on the C4P profiles right now ;
we now have C4 pages for these titles ...see;

http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/search?name=Pizza+Chef&search=app

Please post in the appropriate forum(s) that (now ;) exist for these
titles, that way it's easier to track problems and solutions on a per
app basis that way -- it also helps me make better C4P profiles I might
add...ie; if there's a registry trick needed for certain machines/videocards
and I know about it, I can include it in the C4P profile. Like, I know
you had nowhere else to go when you originally posted ...<grin>...

When/if you do post to one/either of those forums, we can work out what's
going on there and try find a solution -- I'm doing pizza chef 2 right now
and a C4P profile for it...umm....when/if you post to one of those forums,
make sure you tell us what platform/OS{version}/videocard you have as well,
and when I finish the C4P profile I'll post a link there so you can try it
...ie; it's the weekend and there's no Codeweavers staff to review it and
make it 'live'....

...seeing as I'm working on them right now, it's a good chance to catch
my attention... B^)

Cheers!
