I am trying to get f1 2010 to run, I know it's very new and isn't supported.
I managed to install the game - I couldn't get the setup.exe to run, but the setup.msi did run and it install and has all the files that the game would normally have - ie. the installer finished correctly.
However, when I run it I get the series error message, and then it closes.
After this, I installed games for windows live (something like that) and directx both from crossover downloads but it still doesn't work.
Unfortunately I don't think there is -- games for windows live is going
to require .NET 3.5 SP1 (at a minimum), and that is not currently working
in Crossover/wine...so we're pretty much stuck in that regard at present.
(I've a number of titles myself in the same boat - you are not alone 8)
