I dl'd a trial version of CXG today to see how well it will run DDO on my Mac. EVerything seems to be set up and working fine save for my port settings in my firewall.
On running an 8 core MacPro with Snow Leopard and NetBarrier X5. I have tried the following port settings ... (based on posts found in DDO forums)
I have also granted full access to dndclient.exe and turbinelauncher.exe
I am able to connect to DDO with no problems IF I take my firewall offline. Of course, I'd rather not do that. I'd rather open the ports required (only). BTW, Port forwarding is NOT required. I already tested this.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get this to work? Thank you!
A Mac firewall won't see the program attempting network access as dndclient.exe or turbinelauncher.exe. Instead it will either be the wineloader or wineserver programs inside the CrossOver Games application bundle:
That makes the restriction less specific. If you allow wineloader and wineserver, then any Windows program running under CrossOver Games will match the criteria.
it doesnet sound like a big sense words, but i would suggest you just to change your firewall
try this http://www.protemac.com/netmine/
