I'm running on a MacBook Pro M3 Max and I am encountering an error when trying to play Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines on Steam with a DirextX5 error. I've seen some YouTube videos for PC solutions but not sure how to solve this through CrossOver.
Many older games default to running fullscreen with a low resolution that is no longer supported by newer macOS displays. We are working on display mode virtualization to get around this issue, but today there are only two workarounds: either see if you can launch the game in windowed mode instead or use an external monitor.
Thanks for the follow-up! I'm actually hooked up to an external monitor but am mirroring my screen. Perhaps I'll try to extend or find a workaround. Appreciate the reply.
I was wondering if there was any update to older games like Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines?
Cheers!
