CrossOver Support - Community Forums

I recently bought Zoo Tycoon 2: Ultimate Collection to use with crossover. I know that in the compatibility database, it says it doesn't work, but my friend did it with crossover games. He knows a lot of coding stuff, which I don't.

I insert the disk, go through the normal setup. The installer opens, and everything goes normal. When the windows installer finishes, crossover still says "Installing Other software". It stays like that forever. When I force completion, the Zoo Tycoon game folder doesn't show up in the installed games folder.

During the installer, there were a few options I noticed. One was "Run ZT2 when installer finishes", and the other asked if I wanted to restart the computer. I tried all combos, but nothing worked.

I tried to manually run the Startup.exe file, but then it asks me to insert the DVD, which is already in.

In the Crossover games bottle files, it shows the game under program files, and everything seems to be there. I don't know why it isn't working.

I can provide screenshots of anything needed.
Can anyone help me with this, or is there no possible way of doing this?

Talk to your friend ; they obviously know what to do. Your actual
problem is disc based DRM, which doesn't work on the Mac (and doesn't
always work on linux either)...
