I'm about to buy crossover for mac but I'm a little confused about the difference between two of the bundles. I'm buying it to play a game.
There's this one for $23.00
CrossOver Mac Standard Bundle
Run your Windows productivity and games software on your Mac.
Download only
Includes CrossOver Games License
6 months Level 3 support & product upgrades
And there's this one for $39.95:
CrossOver Games Mac
Run your Windows games on your Mac.
Download only
6 months Level 3 support & product upgrades
What's the difference exactly? Why is the one that seems specifically for games around $17 more than the one that works for productivity and games?
There are 2 Crossover products -- one for applications/productivity software,
and the other for games software. Normally speaking, if you wanted the 'best of
both worlds', you would need buy both individual products (Crossover Standard &
Crossover Games) to get that....(unless you buy Crossover Pro, which includes a
license from Crossover Games as well)...
...the bundle deal is a 'birthday special', which means you get both products for
the one ridiculously low price <grin>....so, even if you never use the Crossover
Standard product, at present this is still the cheapest way to get Crossover Games..
Hope this helps...
Cheers!
