i have a problem while running a game with crossover games 10.2.1.
The sound is perfect en when i click i hear thats its working but i don't see anything ?
I see some pixels moving around and i can type in the box where you need to fill in your gamename.
Here are some pics :
Those black pixels are moving.
In the beginning there stands i need 256 color.... for playing the game.
Its a game thats maybe 7 years old and i don't find the problem ..
The most important question is - what's the name of the game you're trying to run?
The first thing I would try is setting the bottle to run in an emulated virtual desktop, which you can do by going into Configure>Manage Bottles, highlighting the bottle that holds the game, and then go to Control Panel>Wine Configuration>Graphics. Check the "emulate a virtual desktop" option, set your desired 4:3 aspect ratio, then apply and ok. Now when you launch the game it should run in a window of the size you set, and this may help stabilize the rendering.
I've already tried it , it doesn't change anything.
The game works perfect but i only see black/white big pixels that are moving .
Maybe i need a driver or something like that ?
Sounds is perfect , i can click around and hear that its working , i have no idea how to solve this.
The name is : Miel Monteur auto's bouwen ' , it's an old game for kids and has no high graphics.
Well, you could also try going into your X11 setting (Applications>Utilities>X11), and then in Preferences set the color to 256. Then close X11, restart Crossover Games, and try again. This sometimes helps with apps that complain about 256 color mode.
The problem isn't solved , x11 settings on 256colors doesn't change
anything.
Hi....
...I don't think you'll get this to work. That screenshot is
very reminiscent of what happens when you spray the VESA buffer
with stuff it doesn't want to do. (I've also seen svgalib do
that in dosbox) Basically the game is too old ; regardless of
when it was released, to be asking for 256 colors means it's
game engine is no doubt drawn from the Windows95 era, and likely
the only way you'll get this to run is in an emulator...
Cheers!
