I'm using Crossover in Snow Leopard to run Quicken 2012. It's working okay with the exception that I can't always get the help system to work.
My computer is an aging Macbook Pro. I'm about to replace its boot drive. I have a choice of an Advanced Format drive (more modern) or a regular drive. OSX is supposed to have no problem with advanced format drives. (Advanced format drives use larger sectors and are more efficient for larger disks).
My assumption is that Crossover is dealing with the disk via OSX and thus crossover should have no problem, too. But -- WinXP running natively would have a problem with this drive, so I'm just checking to be sure. (Here's the drive: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Hitachi/0J12281/)
Can anybody confirm that advanced format drives work?
Many thanks,
Steve
