Didn't see anything posted yet (but maybe I missed it). Just upgraded to Mac OS 10.7.2. Before the upgrade, after a reboot, the Command-tab switching from one app to another on the Mac would work fine, then eventually fail. By 'fail' I mean command-tab would NOT switch me into Crossover (mostly only use Quicken 2011). Once command-tab wouldn't work, I'd have to use the LaunchPad to switch into Quicken. So far, my using 10.7.2 is doing the command-tab thing just fine. I ought to know more later, once I've had a chance to regularly use all the apps I normally use (switch among Quicken 2001 in Crossover, Excel for Mac 2011, Safari 5.1.1, 1Password 3.8.6, GoodSync, SnagIt, the normal Mac calendaring, mail and address book apps, plus a few other apps. I'll post again once a few days have gone by, or as soon as I see the command-tab fail, whichever comes first.
Actually, we hadn't noticed until I read your post...
Just switched over to 10.7.2, today, and I was used used to not using command+tab that I forgot all about checking it. But on cursory check with Outlook and a number of Mac-native apps up, it looks like you're right! W00t.
It has been a few days now; certainly long enough to see whether the former command-tab failures appear. My conclusion is that command-tab now works again. Yay! Although with performance a little different than what you might expect. There is only one thing I now consistently see: Remember what Mac app you were last running. Then let the screen saver stuff kick in. Coming back, I use a push of the shift key to reactivate the screen. It'll show the Quicken screen, but the top Apple line will show that last app. For example, assume all the apps I had initially mentioned were up and running (so Quicken was running w/in Crossover). Say I had last used Safari (or iMail - it doesn't matter). do not use the Mac for a while (certainly long enough to let the screen saver kick in - mine is set to 20 minutes). When I do come back and click the shift key, what I see is the Quicken screen but with the Safari Apple menu line. If I want Quicken I can simply click somewhere on the Quicken screen. If I actually want Safari, doing a command-tab will get me there. Actually, this last sentence I am not too sure of. It may be that when I command-tab, it goes to the next-last-used app. Then doing another command-tab gets me to Safari. Not enough observations to confirm yet.
So, it seems that with this last update, coming out of the screen saver, (for me) Quicken will always be the main window. If I want that, click in that screen and I'm there. If I want whatever app is implied on the Apple line, do a command-tab and you'll be there (or the next-last-used app). Whichever it is, I'm happy with how it's now working.
