I am new to Crossover and have a problem with an unsupported 'Other Application'. It went fine with the installation and the program runs fine on my computer. However, when I launch the website that requires this program to be installed on my computer in order to view files, it (that is, the website) simply reports that I don't have the program installed. I tried to restart my Mac, but the problem is still there. Do you have any suggestions what I should do? Thank you very much in advance!
But back to your problem- I think that you'd have to install internet explorer/ firefox in the same bottle as the program and go to the website through that browser. This is so the internet browser can search through that 'C: drive' for the program- otherwise it doesn't realise that it is installed or something- I'm not too sure about the details of it.
At least, that is what I believe is happening- can another advocate support this?
So to summarise- install Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox in the same bottle as where you installed the program , then go to the website and see what happens.
Hope I helped!
