Thanks for a great product. I've got the most current version of CrossOver installed, and am really only interested in it because of MS Outlook (as I think Outlook 2011 for Mac is really just horrible); and I refuse to use it (though the other apps in the Office 2011 Suite are just fine (if not rather good)).
I received your announcement posting via email, and was curious to know if compatibility with Office 2007/2010 will be improved in CrossOver 11? Can you give us any information on specific features to expect in CrossOver 11?
Thank you in advance for your help, time, attention and continued support.
a unified product. There will be no more "Crossover Standard" and "Crossover Games". There will be only Crossover. One ring to rule them all, and so forth. We will encourage users of CX Games to migrate their games over to the new Crossover 11 (there will be an easy-to-use utility to accomplish this), but keeping CX Games 10.x for your games will be an option, as well.
Further improvements in the stability of Office 2007 (i.e. a long list of "here and there" things have been fixed such as issues with Service Pack installations, more msi fixes for outlier specialty installers of Office, more stability for Outlook, a handful of "printing in specific circumstances" bugs, etc...)
the beginnings of Office 2010 support. And by this we mean that the core apps for Office 2010 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint) will install and run, but will be a bit buggy. We'll have a more complete list of serious bugs to watch out for when we're close to release because we're still fixing as many as we can, and after release we'll be working stridently to triage and fix issues with Office 2010 that our users report (so please report them!)
