Hi...
*create a new bottle, give it a meaningful name..
*install the following into that same bottle ;
http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=6851
*copy the exe into that bottle's drive_c directory ie; ~/Library/Application Support/Crossover/[bottlename]/drive_c/
*use the Run Command function to navigate to and open the exe ..see;
http://www.codeweavers.com/support/wiki/mac/mactutorial/create_launcher
..there you can also create a launcher (menu item) for the app..
HTH
Cheers!
Thank you very much for your kindly help, but I'm sorry to tell you,your solution doesn't work, there is no respond by run the commond here after I INsert my exe file. why?
..did you select the correct bottle?...
Yes, I selected the bottle where I installed 'Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 Redistributable', is it correct?
..either the .exe requires some other dependency, or,
it doesn't work in crossover/wine -- is there an example of
this binary on the net somewhere?...
Cheers!
I don't know, some of exe could work, but how could i know which other component I need for just a small vc++ compiled exe to run using crossOver?
thank you very much for your kindly help.
Hi again...
...okay, create a debug log -- instructions to do so
can be found here...;
http://www.codeweavers.com/support/wiki/mac/mactutorial/submittechsupportlog
...do not tick any channel checkboxes, but instead put
+trace,+loaddll
...in the Other: text-string box, and create the logfile.
The logfile will be somewhat human readable, and you might
be able to identify what's missing (if anything) by reading
it yourself. Else, upload the logfile somewhere and post back
the download URL for it so I can have a look..
Cheers!
